Q: How do I know I am dealing with a reputable company over the Internet?
A:
In today's market it is easy to set up a website in your basement and contact outside suppliers to ship the product for you. A Deck is an expensive and sometimes complicated purchase. You need to choose a company that understands how the entire process works; from picking the right material to having it delivered to your home or job site, complete and undamaged. We have over 10 years of experience shipping products all over the country and around the world. Take the time to look closely at our site and product selection, and send us an email or give us a call if you have any questions.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive my order after it is placed?
A:
Production and shipping time depends on the type of material and stock levels. Most styles take about 10 business days in production and 3-5 days for delivery, depending on your location. We manufacture many of the items on our site and keep a full stock of products our Facilities in MD, PA, IN, and NJ. These styles can usually ship out with in 1 week. Special order material can take up to 4 weeks in production. If you have questions on a particular style, please contact us.

Q: How will I know when my material will be delivered?
A:
After you place your order, an email confirmation is sent to you with the order number and complete list of your materials. We ask that you review that confirmation and make sure everything is correct. Within 24 hours of placing the order you will be sent another email letting you know it has entered into production and you will be provided with an estimated ship date. That date represents when the material should leave the manufacturer. If for some reason the shipment is delayed, one of our customer service representatives will contact you with an update. Once the order is shipped you will receive another email with the tracking information. You will then be able to track your order with the delivery company. At anytime during regular business hours you may contact us for updates.

Q: Who handles any problems with damage, shortages or mistakes with the delivery?
A:
Deck Center customer service will give you detailed instructions before delivery on how to handle these problems. We are responsible for filing any claims for damage or shortages and making sure your order is complete to your satisfaction.

Q: How do I pick the right style of decking products to meet my needs and budget?
A:
At Deck Center we offer you a wealth of information to make an intelligent decision. All of our products have detailed descriptions and pricing. Our Buyers Guide contains specifications, CAD drawing, brochures and installation instructions on all of our products. We also have a full photo gallery and a video library for all of our Decking styles. Our Deck Estimators will assist you in calculating the correct amount of materials for you project.

Q: Who can I get to install the products for my project?
A:
Most of our deck materials can be installed by a handy homeowner with the help of a neighbor or a friend. We provide you with all installation instructions, and we are available for any questions you may have. If you do not feel comfortable installing yourself, we suggest contacting a local home improvement or landscape or deck contractor.
Many deck contractors will not do labor only contracts, so please address this up front.
· Ask for and contact at least two customer references.
· Find out how long they have worked in your area (familiarity with local building codes is important).
· Ask if they are bonded (insured for damages and injuries on the job).
· Get a signed estimate for your installation. You may wish to contact more than one contractor to ensure you are getting the best service and materials for your money.
